Bart has worked in various leadership roles in research and technical sales with Akzo Nobel/Albemarle Catalyst Company and Johnson Matthey Process Technologies.
Prior to starting Beryl Circular and his work for InovaCat B.V., an innovator in catalysis in the refining & petrochemical industry, Bart de Graaf worked as a R&D director and technical consultant in the refining and petrochemical industry. Bart has developed many novel catalysts that are successfully used in many refineries worldwide. He holds a M.Sc. cum laude in Chemical Engineering from Twente University and a Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis from the University of Amsterdam. Bart has worked in various roles in research and technical sales with Akzo Nobel/Albemarle Catalyst Company and Johnson Matthey Process Technologies. His functions include research manager, FCC R&D director, and technical consultant FCC. Bart has authored nearly 50 papers in trade and peer reviewed journals especially on fluid catalytic cracking, its catalysis and chemistry, and is inventor of 12 patent applications.

Senior marketing executive in the international petrochemical industry with extensive technical sales, business development and managerial experience. Throughout his career he has acted as initiator, innovator and market developer for several petrochemical market areas.
Prior to starting Beryl Circular and earlier co-founding InovaCat B.V., an innovator in catalysis in the refining industry, Herman served as the Commercial Director for EMEA and India for the specialty chemicals company INTERCAT Inc., a successful supplier of Fluid Catalytic Cracking additives for the refining of crude oil. Herman developed and expanded the European sales & technical service organization and coordinated all sales- and agency-activities for INTERCAT for the EMEA region and India. Earlier, Herman served as Sales & Marketing Manager for Kemira Oy Finland for their peroxide business in Europe, responsible for all Sales and Marketing activities in Central and South Europe. In this period, he established a new European Sales organization for this new business activity before he took the position of Vice President of a Joint-Venture with Ube Industries Ltd, Japan. Herman started his professional career with the sales of Fluid Cracking Catalysts for Akzo-Nobel FCC catalysts (now Albemarle).
Herman holds a M.Sc. in petroleum engineering from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
